GET OUT OF AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ NOW

I was mad at Obama when he said that he would send more troops to Iraq.  Everyone should know by now that no one can win in that country.  Britain, and Russia both had to retreat in defeat.  Win what?
People have to study their history.   When the people of Afghanistan decide that they want a change, then change will come to their country.  I feel that people decide their fate.  I do not want to send my former students to the mountains of Iraq or Afghanistan looking for what and who.  Obama does not have a clear reason for going into that country.  Get out!  Let them decide.   I had to think of Islamic extremists running their country.  But who am I or Carlos to decide?  It is a no win situation  cut our losses and retreat.  I certainly do not want to risk  young people's lives anymore or the lives of the people.  I don't think that their lives are being made better by the presence of foreign troops.  Just ask the people of Iraq.  But who asked me?

SOMEBODY PLEASE POST

SOMEONE POST BESIDES ME

Posting is not part of our culture just yet.  You become vulnerable when you post on two or three counts.  You have to write.  You have to put your photos out there.  You have to make time.  I guess I find it fun.  It is a forum for my photography and I get my views out there.  It is a new habit.  Just try.  Don't make me make this an assignment.  I copied the photo from a previous member.   Hers is still better.

I SAW ANGELS

;

At first I just saw the one boy with the books, I  knew that this young boy was on his way to church.  Then when I saw the whole family, it seemed as though I was seeing was angels/saints.  The Saints were marching in.   There was a certain quiet strength there.    I love strong families.  I think we need more of them.  Strong families make strong make strong children.

I AM SO HAPPY!

Everybody Is a Star
I am so happy that my young people are happy.  Even, old members are excited about the possibility of blogging.   They just learned how to blog.  They even made a video interview.  They are learning how easy it is to use technology to get themselves on the net.  We all have passwords to get on the blog.  I can't wait to see who actually blogs in the next two weeks.   One young person said, "I am a Photo Griot."  It is exciting and I wonder where blogging will take us.  Our group is growing.  Each additional member has their own special quality.  I  am happy to be a Photo Griot!
