A Nice Eco-Friendly Eatery

The weather is getting warmer and people are coming out to enjoy it.. I didn't stumble upon this place (which is located on Fulton street and S Portland Ave) but was taking over here by friends.. It is a nice place.. the food is good, the music is relaxing or makes you feel like dancing... and there is always alot of people. However Sunday seems to be the most progressive day...Everybody was inside..getting food, getting drinks, socializing, and getting ready for their afternoon event. Even Big Celebrities come and show their faces..actors, rappers, actresses, singers.. you name it. Unfortunately I always miss the time they come over.. but I will catch one of them one day.. lol...D.C.R

There are Angels Everywhere

This young lady was just learning to walk.   She kept going around in circles.  I am sure her mother eventually was able to walk home!   I was feeling a little down.  After I entered my
neighborhood, and saw all my wonderful neighbors, I felt better.  I stopped and chatted with my friends and I felt better.

Reflections

After a sudden rainfall I captured this picture.    I like to take pictures of reflections.  I was lucky because a rain drop fell into a puddle.

The trees are growing people

These pictures were taken at a family BBQ in Prospect Park in the cool of the evening. After finding a tree with limbs low enough to climb in without fear of injury, the tree began to blossom out with the gift of human life. MDR

Our local artist,  Prtah, was showing me a carving that he did for a sister whose mother had died.

This a a picture of Fort Green Grant Square Senior Center, with statue of General Grant in the forefront. MDR.

The picture speaks for itself

I went on a class field trip to Washington DC, I was so excited. I was thinking of Barack Obama when I took this picture of the Capital. We also went to the White house . K.W.

The photogriots went on a walk-about to Bedford Ave and St. Johns Place in Brooklyn, New York to see the beautiful sights of old and new Brooklyn. This is the Studebaker building. The following week we will talk to the community elders about the sights we saw. KiW

GO BROOKLYN!

Ever been to the Coney Island Aquarium? I wonder how they can put sharks, fish, stingrays, and turtles together??? What do you think?AW

A pic with a message

The PhotoGriots worked their first photo shoot this week. While we we're filming and taking pics.. I stumbled across this.. I found it too be very interesting..It's my first time seeing it. For others.. they have probably seen it twice or numerous times. I see that the message is .. you dont hear nothing, you say anything and you don't see nothing....but my big question is......Who is the message leaning toward? Is it toward the people of America as far as telling them what they should do or is it America itself in telling you (like in Morse Code) how the government operates? It's just a thought... DCR

The Chickens have come to settle in the North

Why have a chicken coop in the south.. when you can bring it to the city? When we were doing our walkabout.. we came across some chickens perched in a community garden, in the middle of Dean Street between Bedford and Franklin. I thought it was out of place at first but quite funny.. Chickens in the city....DCR

I don't know if you should be doing that on the Jewish Sabbath.  But they sure were having fun.
I asked a young Jewish man and he said it wasn't bad.   But this is not a skate boarding site.
