This was a fun day and the children and I were there from the beginning to the end. The traditional family day parade and picnic kicked off at Empire BLVD and McKeever Place, 11:30, Sunday, June 7th, 2009. The Flier said rain or shine and it was a very beautiful day indeed. When we reached Hamilton-Metz Park, we were amazed at the number of people that were there. There were a lot of activities. I took pictures as I watched people of all races and ethnic group enjoyed themselves together. The entertainment was really nice. There was so much food and drink. It was a day that everyone should have walked away with a happy heart and a full stomach. MDR
